Saturday, October 22nd, 2011 This is a NEA funded Exhibition: Recycled Materials Exhibition and Runway Event Exhibition: October 7 thru November 4, 2011 Runway Event: October 22nd – 11am – 11pm
A component of Art + Science will be the Recycled Materials exhibition. The exhibition will consist of art, workshops and a runway event highlighting the wear ability and functionality of recycling. This month of ecology minded design brings together local and regional fashion designers, student designers, and conceptual and technical artists. Collaboration within the arts community includes hair and makeup artists, photographers, DJ’s, filmmakers and recycled material vendors.
What kind of art can be created with wonderful elements such as a metal pop tops, plastic containers, old clothing or just about anything that might end up in our local landfill? Artists display work which invites the public to think about the environment and what they can do to increase awareness and importance of recycling and conserving our limited natural resources.

“Art Receiving” - Artists are allowed to submit up to three
individual art pieces into the exhibition for jurying.

Saturday October 23rd, 2010 Join us for the Eco-Decadent" Recycle Materials Fashion Runway Show" and VIP Party Starting at 5:30pm the pre party will begin an evening highlighting art and performance. Get personal with designers and other green fashionistas. Step inside the gallery for a fresh reworking of materials, audio and video experiences. – Step into the pre party when the lights are low, conversations start, and
you become the
collaborator. This event series has a limited capacity of 100 people to ensure the most intimate experience. So reserve your space early!
